Don Specks boasts an impressive 14-year tenure in the veterinary profession. His journey began as an on-the-job trained veterinary technician, and it was his exceptional dedication and aptitude that swiftly propelled him into a thriving role in hospital management.

His commitment to learning led him to The Vet Tech Institute, where he achieved an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Veterinary Technology, and is a certified Texas LVT. This marked just the beginning of his academic pursuits, as he continued his educational journey with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Veterinary Technology Practice Management from Tarleton State University. Over the years, Don has embraced a variety of roles, including those of a manager, director, and instructor.

In his leisure hours, Don finds great joy in exploring the world, having already set foot on four continents with his sights set on all seven. His personal life is enriched by the presence of two rescue dogs, Beau (a Basset Hound) and Riley (a bulldog). Beyond his professional and travel pursuits, he generously dedicates his time and skills to rescue organizations, extending vital assistance to low-income pet owners through spay-neuter services and pet health support.
